Build a useful appointment brief
Tell us when you expect to return and who can authorize access. Keep access arrangements out of public form messages; discuss them directly through the confirmed booking process. If a property representative will attend, agree who can make decisions about any proposed work.
Use the service record as a starting point
A dated invoice and the appliance manual can help explain what was done previously. Note unresolved items separately from new concerns. If the service history is unknown, say that clearly so the assessment begins with the right expectations rather than an assumed maintenance record.
Leave time to act on the findings
An inspection may identify maintenance or a repair that needs another visit or a specific part. Planning ahead gives you room to consider that work. Ask what needs to happen before the appliance is used and retain the written scope with the property's records. If another person will meet the service provider, give them the same brief and the owner’s preferred contact arrangements. Access to the property does not automatically mean permission to approve additional work. Establish that responsibility before the visit.
