A barrier and the glass do different jobs

The glass belongs to the appliance assembly; the protective barrier helps reduce accidental contact with it. One does not replace the other. Manufacturer guidance warns that glass and surrounding metal can remain hot after the fireplace has been switched off.

Treat a missing or damaged screen as a component question

Identify the appliance model before looking for a replacement. A loose decorative screen selected by width is not automatically the manufacturer’s specified barrier. Do not modify a screen or remove it for a clearer view. If the correct arrangement is uncertain, leave the fireplace unused until it is resolved.

Plan the room for people who do not know the fireplace

Keep seating, toys and belongings from encouraging close contact. Tell visiting adults that the fireplace remains hot during cool-down and that children need supervision. Explain the ordinary controls to the responsible adult without giving guests access to internal appliance components.

Include the barrier in the maintenance conversation

When booking a Naples visit, mention a missing screen, damaged attachment or unfamiliar front separately from any operating fault. Ask for the appropriate component identification and keep the result with the equipment record. This is useful preparation even if the fireplace has not been used recently.
