Create three appointment entries
First ask the fumigation company what the owner must arrange before tenting, including any fuel-service requirements. Then confirm with the actual gas supplier who handles disconnection and restoration, what notice it requires and who must be onsite. Finally choose a fireplace service time after the home has been released for re-entry and the supplier's applicable steps are complete. Do not ask an appliance technician to enter a tented home.
Keep two clearances separate
Florida's Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services publishes homeowner fumigation information. The fumigator controls when the structure is cleared for re-entry. Fuel service and any required appliance relights or checks have a separate process. Peoples Gas publishes one Florida supplier's arrangements. Other providers and propane systems can differ; record the instructions received for the actual account.
Leave a handoff a returning owner can understand
Identify the date the fumigator released the home, the status reported by the fuel provider and whether the fireplace was included in any appliance visit. If the utility restored service while the fireplace remained inaccessible, mark the item outstanding. Nobody should improvise a relight, disturb utility locks or assume the room is ready from a photograph of the removed tent.
